All smiles again at the Lawrence house...

I am so happy to say that everyone at our house is in tip- top health again!! We had a rough start to the new year. We were all sick with the stomach flu and then a cold, then Holly had the bump that turned into a small abscess. With our first trip to the ER behind us and Holly's first stomach bug over... I can safely say we got truly initiated into parenthood these past few weeks.
Holly will be turning 17 months old this month. She is so much fun! She loves her babies and stuffed animals. She loves to feed them. She walks around all day with her spoon trying to feed anything with a mouth!! Poor Scooter is always running from Holly and her little pink spoon that she sticks in his snout. Charlie on the other hand can't get enough of her. Everyday he becomes more her dog than the family dog. They are so cute together, it is not "Mary had a Little Lamb" at our house, it is more like "Holly had a Little Puggle...."
Bob is settling into his new job and is thriving. It was an easy transition and I am thrilled that he is happy there after having been with Medtronic for so long. As for me, I am still on cloud 9 having my old job back!! It has been 6 months and I am still so grateful to be back working with Mike and a great team of docs. I feel like myself again, and that self is loving life.
We are heading to Chicago the last weekend of the month to celebrate Bob' s birthday. Holly will be having her first overnight with her Grandma and Grandpa. I am sad to have to leave her, but I know she is going to have so much fun with Bob's Mom. It has been a very cold winter here in Michigan and I am hoping it warms up soon. Counting the days till spring...

Christmas Morning 2008

Christmas morning was so fun!! Holly's eyes lit up when she saw that Santa had come. It was love at first sight with Mr. Giraffe. Poppy and Grandma Coulter came over in the morning to watch Holly open her presents. Even though Holly, Poppy and I were sick we had a wonderful Christmas. Next year when Holly can talk we know that she will ask Santa to bring her Aunt Vicky!!

We woke up on the morning of Christmas Eve to our sweet little Holly having the stomach flu! We were 48 hours shy of her turning 16 months old and never having been sick. She was still her playful self, but it was still so hard for me to see her not feeling well. By late afternoon she appeared to being to doing great! We packed up and headed across town to celebrate Christmas with my in-laws. Holly was having so much fun playing with her new kitchen and her pots and pans!! We had a wonderful dinner and a great night.
